Library
Section titled “Library”The Library view shows all series and movies that Sublarr is aware of, sourced from your connected Jellyfin, Emby, or *arr integrations.
Series List
Section titled “Series List”Each row shows:
- Title — series name with year
- Subtitle status — how many episodes have subtitles vs. total
- Language — active language profile
- Provider last used — which provider found the last subtitle
Click a series to open the Series Detail view showing per-episode subtitle status.
Series Detail
Section titled “Series Detail”- Lists all seasons and episodes
- Shows subtitle file path, score, provider, and language for each episode
- Search button triggers a manual provider search for that episode
- Translate button sends the subtitle through the LLM translation pipeline
- Delete removes the subtitle file (moves to Trash)
Episode-vs-pill action split
Section titled “Episode-vs-pill action split”Each episode row carries up to two action surfaces:
- Per-episode
⋯menu — episode-scope actions only: Vergleichen / Compare, Embedded Tracks, Interactive Search, History. These are about the episode as a whole. - Per-language sidecar pill — every existing sidecar (e.g.
de,en) is shown as a small pill. Clicking the pill’s compact menu exposes every sidecar-scoped action: Vorschau / Preview, Editor, Download, NFO export, HI removal, Common Fixes, Timing modal, Auto-Sync, Video-Sync, Health-Check, Restore.
Before the split, all of these lived in a single bloated row menu (~22
items). The new layout keeps the surface area small until you actually
need a sidecar-scoped action — pick the language pill first, then act
on it. There is no firstSubPath heuristic: every action knows which
exact sidecar it operates on.
Subtitle modifier badges
Section titled “Subtitle modifier badges”Every language pill carries up to three small badges that surface how the subtitle was sourced or modified. The badges are reconstructed from the filename grammar — Sublarr never relies on in-file metadata for these, so they survive copy / move / rename.

| HI | *.de.hi.ass, *.de.hi.srt | Hearing-impaired track — [door slams], (music swells), speaker tags. Useful as a fallback when the regular subtitle is missing; can be cleaned to a regular track via HI removal on the pill menu. |
| FORCED | *.de.forced.ass | Forced narrative — only renders for non-native dialogue (e.g. alien language captions in an English film). Most players auto-display these on top of the main audio. |
| SDH | *.de.sdh.srt | Subtitles for the Deaf and Hard-of-hearing — superset of HI, often includes ambient sound descriptions. Tolerated as a source under SDH source tolerance even when your profile prefers regular subs. |
| CC | *.en.cc.srt | Closed captions — North-American convention, typically equivalent to SDH. |
A pill with no badge is a regular full-text track. Multiple badges can
combine (*.de.hi.forced.ass → both HI and FORCED); the
display preserves their order in the filename.
Embedded-track extraction
Section titled “Embedded-track extraction”The Embedded Tracks action on the per-episode menu opens a panel listing every embedded subtitle stream in the source file (language, forced/SDH flags, codec). Pick a track to extract it into a sidecar; sidecars are named after the source-stream language, not the profile target. Off-target sidecars produced during a multi-track extract are auto-trashed when Auto-cleanup after extract is on.
Filters
Section titled “Filters”Use the filter bar to narrow by:
- Subtitle status:
all,subtitled,missing,wanted - Language profile
- Provider
Bulk Actions
Section titled “Bulk Actions”Select multiple series with the checkbox column, then:
- Batch Search — searches all selected series for missing subtitles
- Batch Translate — queues all selected for translation
